Here is a 30 minute treadmill, bike, rowing, and elliptical trainer interval workout routine.

For the treadmill increase the incline to 2, this will simulate running outdoors where your running postion propells you in a forward motion.

Warm up for 5 minutes. Start off walking and then increase to a an easy jog.

30min workout intervals:
5 min.at speed (slow jog)
1 min at speed (run)
2 min at speed (slow jog)
1 min at speed (run)
2 min at speed (slow jog)
1 min at speed (run)
2 min at speed (slow jog)
1 min — Walk or run as fast as you can
2 min at speed (slow jog)
5 min at speed (walk/fast walk)

You can alternate this workout between the treadmill, bike, rowing, and elliptical trainer by changing the intervals and the time according to how you feel. I would reccomend that you always start each exercise with a 5 munite warmup to prevent injury; this will also give you an indication of how intense your workout should be.
