Ashley Tisdale diet and piloxing workout

“I’ve picked up this thing called Piloxing. It’s the best time of your life! Vanessa and I go all the time. It’s a class that mixes Pilates and boxing. You have these little weights on your hands, and you’re doing boxing moves. Then the Pilates comes in, where you do dance and ballet moves.”

DOB: July 2, 1985
Ashley Michelle Tisdale is an American actress, singer-songwriter and television producer. Famous for her role in High School Musical.

“Now before I work out,” she says, “I think, ‘I love exercise’ – and it works.”

Getting Fit
To kick things off, Ashley started working with LA-based trainer Christopher Hebert eight months ago. She does an hour-long workout three or four days each week consisting of 30 minutes on the elliptical and 30 minutes of weight training and core exercises to keep her back strong.

One exercise has Tisdale running up and down a set of stairs with a weighted medicine ball held overhead. Her workout routine can be tough, but Tisdale says her trainer is her secret weapon.

“He’s cute, which makes it fun,” she says. “And he never lets our exercise sessions get boring.”

Now that Tisdale is finally having fun in the gym, she has also started to feel some of the positive side effects.

Before exercising, “I was always super-thin – too skinny, actually,” she says. “I felt like someone could break me in half. I realize now that being a bit more curvy and toned is so much more beautiful.”

One exercise has Tisdale running up and down a set of stairs with a weighted medicine ball held overhead. Her workout routine can be tough, but Tisdale says her trainer is her secret weapon.

On her favorite body part – “My legs because I have very long skinny legs. When I put on heels or shorts they look like they are a mile long. I am always wearing skirts or shorts because I like my legs. They are very in shape.”

When traveling she does an exercise DVD called Piloxing, which is a mix of pilates and boxing. She explains,

“It’s Pilates and boxing put together. I always make time for it, because not only is it healthy for you, but it also relieves my stress. I’m so busy doing stuff and I get stressed a lot that working out takes me away from that.”

What muscles does Piloxing target? Everything – arms, legs, butt, abs, obliques and waistline.

Lisa Snowdon’s Exercise Routine:

1. Running for one hour, twice a week.
2. Pilates for one hour, twice a week.
3. Yoga for one hour, once a week.

Lisa Snowdon’s diet:

Although a size 8, Lisa says she now has to be a bit choosy about what she eats. ‘I have changed the food I eat, and I’m cutting out wheat more often,’ she says. ‘I did a lingerie shoot recently and I wanted to be a bit tighter everywhere, not just for the pictures, but for walking around the studio and being around people with not many clothes on! I cut out wheat for two weeks before, and chose smoothies or eggs for breakfast instead of toast and it really made a difference.’ However, there is one thing she finds impossible to cut out of her diet. ‘I love chocolate, I can’t just eat a couple of chunks, the whole bar has to go!’ she laughs. ‘Green & Black’s organic is my downfall. In my defence there is no rubbish in there, it’s all natural. I also love Marks & Spencer chocolate cornflake bites. But I’d rather treat myself and work out than deprive myself of all the lovely things in life.’

Breakfast
A large mixed-fruit smoothie. OR Two poached eggs on wholemeal toast.

Lunch
An assortment of sushi. OR Homemade vegetable lasagne with a mixed-leaf salad.

Dinner
A large Caprese Salad OR Teriyaki fish with noodles or steamed veg.

Snacks
A small bar of organic dark chocolate. OR A banana.

she still has a refreshingly relaxed approach to staying in shape. In fact she reckons she has never been on a diet! “Diets like Atkins seem to make people miserable”, she says. “I eat healthily and am fairly active so I have never felt the need”.

A firm believer in the phrase “start the day as you mean to go on”, Lisa avoids fat-laden fry-ups and enjoys a healthy breakfast every morning, which gives her the energy she needs to start the day.

“I always have breakfast because it’s such an important meal, and either have porridge and a banana or a bagel”, she says.

And instead of restricting her diet, Lisa chooses healthy options for lunch, which will not only be kind to her waist, but keep her feeling full for longer too! “I have sushi or pasta”, she reveals.

Being a huge fan of Italian food, Lisa enjoys vegetarian lasagne or a Caprese salad, which is packed with super-healthy staples of the Mediterranean diet – fresh tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and extra virgin olive oil, which helps lower cholesterol and can protect against heart disease.

In the evening, Lisa often eats out at restaurants, but she makes sure she chooses healthy alternatives – which are just as tasty and filling as other options. “My favourite is Japanese teriyaki”, she reveals. This dish of grilled meat or fish marinated in a sweet soy sauce is a great source of protein and is also low in fat.

But Lisa also believes that having the occasional treat is not a bad thing, and she does indulge in the odd packet of crisps every now and again – in moderation. “If you want a packet of crisps, have one – just don’t have ten”, she advises. For a healthier snack, she has a bag of Twiglets – 30g contains just 117 calories and 3g of fat.

To satisfy her sweet tooth without piling on the pounds, Lisa opts for low-fat desserts. “My favourites are frozen fruits – like figs and strawberries – with sorbet”, she reveals. But like most of us, chocolate is her vice. “I love chocolate. I can’t just eat a couple of chunks, the whole bar has to go!” she laughs.

“Green & Black’s is my downfall. In my defence, there is no rubbish in there – it’s all natural”.

As far as exercise is concerned, Lisa is not a big fan of the gym. But she appreciates that she needs to take care of herself these days in order to keep her enviable figure.

“Since I reached my thirties, I’ve noticed my body has changed – particularly my belly”, she confesses. “It’s definitely harder to stay toned now that I’m getting older. You have to work twice as hard to keep things in the same place”.

In order to stay slim, Lisa – who once said that sex keeps her in shape – has enlisted the help of a personal trainer to put her through her paces twice a week. “I’ve been on a workout plan for the last year”, she says. “I work out twice a week with my trainer. I run and do a lot of yoga and Pilates-type core stability moves”.

But it’s not all hard work and no play! Single Lisa still enjoys girlie nights out and a drink or two. “I love alcohol”, she laughs. “Champagne, white wine, red wine and vodka. I love Bloody Marys!”

Usain Bolt sprint training and 100 meter world record video

DOB: born 21 August 1986
Usain Bolt CD is a Jamaican sprinter. Bolt holds the Olympic and world records for the 100 metres at 9.69 seconds, the 200 metres at 19.30 seconds and, along with his teammates, the 4×100 metres relay at 37.10 seconds, all set at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Bolt became the first man to win all three events at a single Olympics since Carl Lewis in 1984, and the first man in history to set world records in all three at a single Olympics. His name and achievements in sprinting have earned him the media nickname “‘Lightning’ Bolt”.

Bolt distinguished himself with a 200 m gold medal at the 2002 World Junior Championships, making him the competition’s youngest-ever gold medalist. In 2004, at the CARIFTA Games, Bolt became the first junior sprinter to run the 200 m in under 20 seconds with a time of 19.93 s, breaking Roy Martin’s world junior record by two-tenths of a second. Bolt also set competition records at a number of other junior events.

Bolt turned professional in 2004 but missed most of his first two seasons due to injuries; he was eliminated in the first round of the 200 m heats at the 2004 Summer Olympics. In 2007, Bolt beat Don Quarrie’s 200 m Jamaican national record with a run of 19.75 s. In May 2008, Bolt set his first 100 m world record with a time of 9.72 s, improving upon his previous personal best of 9.76 s which was made earlier in the month.

As a result of Bolt’s successes in athletics, he was named the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year for 2009.

Whether or not you agree with Kim Kardashian’s career moves (sex tape, playboy, etc.), she does look great and she actually does have curves. Her trainer, Kathy Kaehler, opened up to reveal what exactly Kim did to get picture perfect for her recent Playboy shoot.

In addition to using the elliptical trainer and walking every day, she followed this toning program:

Lunges. Start by standing up straight with your hands at your sides. Take a big step forward with your right leg, lowering the body until your right thigh is parallel to the floor. Straighten back up and repeat on the left side. Do three sets of 10 repetitions with each leg.

Sit-down squats. Start by standing in front of a chair and then sit down on the seat and stand back up. Do three sets of 15 reps.

Arm and leg opposition. Start on the floor on your hands and knees. Lift the right arm up and extend the left leg back so that both are parallel to the floor. Keep your abs tight and hold for 30 seconds. Repeat with the opposite arm and leg.

Push-ups. If you can’t do military push-ups in good form, modify your technique by pushing up from your knees. Do three sets of 10 reps.

Triceps dips. Position yourself in front of a sturdy chair so that your arms are behind you with your palms grabbing the edge of the seat. Scoot your legs out in front. Now lower your upper body until your upper arms are parallel to the floor and then press back up. Do two sets of 12 reps.

Kim Kardashian DIET:

“It’s so hard to eat well because I love so many unhealthy foods. I just can’t stop eating junk. It’s awful!”

Kim Kardashian FITNESS: “I’ve got a personal trainer who keeps me active,” she says. “I work my butt and legs just about every day, and I do cardio to burn fat. I’ve actually started videotaping my workouts so I can do them on the road. I’m going to start selling the videos soon on my Web site so that others can do the same workout that I do. They’re short videos, but if you do them one right after the other, it’s a really good workout.”

The Hollywood socialite and reality star Kim Kardashian has a new exercise DVD in the works. Kim told People Magazine,
“For young girls to see exercise videos that have only skinny girls…well, that’s something they can’t attain,” says Kardashian. “I want this to be something that can be realistic for most girls.”

Two years later, he was released and signed to another large pact by the Dallas Cowboys, only to be given his unconditional release on March 4, 2009 and signed by the Bills several days later.

Popularly known by his initials, T.O., Owens is both renowned and reviled for his flamboyant touchdown celebrations, earning him many fines and his teams frequent penalties for his end zone theatrics.

Faith Hill’s 41st birthday present to herself: a bikini photo shoot! The svelte country superstar graces the cover of December’s Shape magazine, showing off her toned tummy. She says it’s Pilates that has helped her reach her fitness goals.

“I could bend in ways I haven’t been able to since I was a teenager,” she tells the magazine of the benefits of Pilates. “My husband loves it!”

Hill admits it took years for her to settle on a workout routine.

“In my 20s and 30s, I’d go through phases with exercise, working out for four weeks before a big tour or video shoot and not doing much afterward,” she admits. “Then I had three kids and turned 40, so I decided to make a lifestyle change.”

Hill and hubby Tim McGraw keep each other motivated with joint workouts that include four miles on the elliptical machine, weight lifting, sit-ups and push-ups. Hill then added Pilates to the mix, taking classes three times per week.

“It was so hard, but ultimately so worth it,” she says. “My core is much stronger, and my arms are more toned. In fact, wearing a bikini on a magazine cover is my 41st birthday present to myself.”
